Never cease.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m back!<\/p>\n

I said I would be if I had anything to say.<\/p>\n

Two miracles to report this Monday.\u00a0 One is from a while ago.\u00a0 And one just happened.<\/p>\n

The “while ago” miracle was in August.\u00a0 I became a produced playwright.\u00a0 This is a dividing line.\u00a0 There are the writers who write plays.\u00a0 And there are the writers who get them produced.\u00a0 Once you cross the threshold, you can never go back.\u00a0 (Not that you would want to.)<\/p>\n

Anyway, I wrote an adaptation of The Looking Glass<\/em> by Edith Wharton.\u00a0 It was produced by The Wharton Salon on the grounds of The Mount, Ms. Wharton’s Berkshire mansion.<\/p>\n

Just getting a production is a miracle.\u00a0 But mine didn’t end there.<\/p>\n

Because it could have been bad.\u00a0 It’s a one-woman show, and we lost our one woman about a week before we opened.\u00a0 (Health reasons.\u00a0 She’s fine now!)<\/p>\n

Producer, director, everybody scrambling for a replacement.<\/p>\n

And, the collateral miracle…they found Jane Nichols.\u00a0 The amazing Jane Nichols.\u00a0 Who came in late in the day, and saved it.<\/p>\n

Jane gave a marvelous performance.\u00a0 Eternal gratitude?\u00a0 The term was invented for what we owe Jane.<\/p>\n

It’s not easy coming into a one-person show at the last minute, learning pages of dialogue with no fellow actors to help you out if you stumble.<\/p>\n

But she did it…and beautifully!<\/p>\n

Audiences loved her.\u00a0 They loved the play.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Edith Wharton, Jane Nichols, director Daniela Varon, and producer Catherine Taylor-Williams of The Wharton Salon, I am not only a produced playwright, but a beautifully<\/em> produced one.<\/p>\n

So, that’s the first miracle.\u00a0 Long overdue for a mention in this blog.<\/p>\n

The second one is that I am back on track wrestling the To Do List from Hell into submission.\u00a0 I’m getting stuff done!\u00a0 I’ll tell you tomorrow about the software that’s helping me do it!<\/p>\n

Right now, I have to get back to that To Do List.<\/p>\n
